Who let the dogs out?
I thought I would say that because mainly it is me. I let my dogs out the majority of the time. I have to keep an eye out for the pesky hawks that hunt near my neighbor’s overflowing bird feeder. Yes I do want to gripe about that! My neighbor bless her heart, is a ferocious bird feeder! She has obese sparrows for crying out loud! When we first bought our home we laughed at the little fat birds that waddled across my driveway. Now I look at them in disgust! She does not seem to understand her obsession with buying seed and filling her many feeders has become my secret madness! Yes, I am sick of seeing empty hulls of sunflower seeds thrown about in my driveway because these birds are in a frenzy. They fly in like a seven forty seven. We have to watch out or we will get bombarded by feathers. She has a feeder nestled in her bushes right next to my driveway where we park our vehicles. I don’t know how many times I have come out and seen bird feces splattered on my windshield. I have tried hosing my vehicle casually and then aiming at her feeder in hopes that it would rot the seeds and maybe just maybe the birds would not eat it. Another one of my efforts was to buy one of those fake owls that spins its head around. Needless to say my little shih tzu is the only one frightened. I tried hanging shiny Cd’s near my garden as the many sparrows like to dust their feathers with dirt to keep off the bugs. It didn’t work, I actually seen one looking at its reflection and if birds can smile, this one was! Well enough of my ranting.
more soon: off to look online for plastic hawks.
