Frigid Temps today in Green Bay

Below zero all day was the weather we had today. I knew it was colder as I went out with my pets as I do every morning. They count on me to go and it gets me moving so I will always do it. This morning Minnie and Cissy started hopping around on one foot pretty quickly. They don’t like to touch the snow after a bit as it seems too cold for them. I shoveled my car off quickly and made a quick path and then we went all back inside.  I had to go with my sons to their doctor appointments this afternoon. My older son who is a senior was still sick with what I believe had turned into a sinus infection and I thought he could use some anti -biotics if I was correct. My other son had slipped on our back steps the other day and hurt his back and tail bone. I felt he needed a more powerful pain killer as every move hurt him. He is a big son and tough too and taller than my husband and I so when he goes down for the count I knew it had to hurt him bad. We had him ice it alot but an x ray would tell if it was chipped or something. We have insurance so we are luckier than some folks. We got home later after dropping off the slips at the pharmacy. My older son does have a sinus infection and my younger son didn’t break anything but was prescribed something to help with pain management. I made a quick supper of spaghetti and hamburgers as my husband cannot stand spaghetti. When he was little his parents had spaghetti once a week to a strict schedule they rarely changed for a long time. Well he did not like it but was told to eat it and back then he did as he was told. Now he says he will never eat it and for the almost nineteen years we have known each other he has never ate it.  I gave the boys their meds later in the evening and now I am catching up on my emails and of course reading blogs. I am going to do our taxes this weekend. My husband ran our newest truck in the ditch over a week ago and it is still not ready. The last road he takes to get to work is a lone stretch of farm road. It is known by the locals to be windy and snow drifts when it blows. When he got pulled out he noticed the anti-freeze dripping and didn’t want to do anymore damage. We found out it did damage alot so Broadway Chevrolet gave him a rental to use. It is a cute little red  Ford Focus. He is actually saving on gas using this. We hope the truck is done by Friday.

more soon: off to shut off the lights and hit the hay!
